If you’re planning your trips for 2017 you should probably add Atlanta to the list. We’re sharing an Atlanta city guide with you today from Morgan Bullard – beauty, health, and fashion blogger  – and can’t wait to head to ATL to check some of these spots out.

In honor of the Falcons making it to the Super Bowl (so sad they lost!), I wanted to share with y’all my favorite places in and around Atlanta. I’ve lived in Atlanta my entire life and lived in Midtown Atlanta for all 4 years when I was in school at Georgia Tech. Midtown definitely is my favorite, but my picks are from all around the city.

Westside Provisions District | Atlanta City Guide

Westside Provisions District.

Westside Provisions is totally my favorite area of midtown, because it really has all you need in one spot. I just learned last weekend that you can’t take pictures there which is super annoying. But we snapped a few before we were scolded. Drew & I took our engagement pics here in fall 2014! My favorite spots here are:

Jeni's Ice Cream | Atlanta City Guide Jeni's Ice Cream | Atlanta City Guide

Jeni’s Ice Cream: If you haven’t tried Jeni’s, boy are you missing out! I actually don’t even love ice cream, but I LOVE Jeni’s! Their brambleberry crisp is to die for. I describe it as blackberry cobbler in ice cream form. It is divine. Drew’s favorite is their brown butter almond brittle, which is super delish too! A couple summers ago I had peaches and biscuits from there, so I really hope they bring that back this summer because it is super yummy too.

Pure Barre Westside: Because after all that ice cream you probably need to workout. I’m a huge advocate of Pure Barre and barre workouts in general because they’re so effective and low-impact. I also love the Pure Barre in Virginia Highlands!

Fabulous Frocks: So this is actually where I got my wedding dress, and they recently re-located to this area. Their wedding gowns are gorgeous (okay I’m a little biased) and their prices are amazing. If you’re a bride to be or have a friend that is, definitely check them out!

Ormsby’s: A super fun bar – they even have games like bocce ball! I went here for my 21st birthday and had a blast. If you ever want to go out and have fun with your girls, this place is amazing!

Yeah Burger: My favorite burger spot, and Drew’s too. They have great burgers, I love their bison burger! Their french fries are really good, and Drew loves their sweet potato fries. It’s all local ingredients and made with really good quality ingredients. All of that and it’s so yummy.

Ponce City Market | Atlanta City Guide

Ponce City Market

Ponce City Market is still pretty new. It wasn’t even open yet when I was in college, which is a bummer because I would have been there every day. Well, that’s probably a good thing for my wallet, haha. I haven’t tried any of the restaurants here yet, but they have really cute specialty shopping and their Anthropologie is huge and amazing. It’s really fun to spend an afternoon here walking around and hanging out.

The Painted Pin

The Painted Pin is another fun place to go with your friends for a night out. It’s more in the Buckhead area, but not far from Midtown at all. It has such a cool vibe and tasty drinks and food. Try the frozen Moscow Mule, it’s amazing.

Georgia Aquarium

The Georgia Aquarium is just one of those things you need to do at least once. I have been twice and had a blast both times. I love all animals and they have the cutest little dolphins, otters, and penguins ever. They will make your heart melt. It’s so cool seeing those animals up-close and in person.

Bobby Dodd Stadium

Being a Georgia Tech grad, Bobby Dodd will always be a fave of mine. Drew and I have so many great memories going to football games here together. We also had a really fun senior night on the field the semester we graduated. We got to walk around the field and it was just a really fun night. I highly suggest seeing a game if you’re able to!

Piedmont Park

Piedmont Park is a fun spot to sit and walk around or bring a blanket for a picnic lunch. Drew and I love the 10th street side because it’s hilly and you can sit and watch people walk around. We love taking our dogs there too. It’s totally pet-friendly and they even have dog parks that are separated based on your dog’s size! My family runs the Peachtree Road Race almost every 4th of July, and the race ends here. It’s so cool to run down Peachtree from Bulkhead to Midtown. It also makes me appreciate having a car.

Those are some of my favorite spots around the city. Let me know some of your favorite spots and I’ll have to try them out.

Hope y’all have a great rest of the week!

Much love,

Morgan Bullard
