Brrr! With the States facing sub-zero temperatures all over the place right now, we thought it was about time to blog about staying trendy when you’re all bundled up for warmth. Comfort is key to true confidence and inner style, but this needn’t be a trade off with looking great! The snow and frost has thrown out some adorable style inspo these past few weeks, so let’s take a look at just some of our favorites.
Warming up on a shoot in NYC, Olivia looks adorable with this big suede and faux fur coat draped over her shoulders. This is a look that’s almost a little bit seventies with the coat’s wide lapels and wide cuff trims – and Olivia’s glossy, wavy locks!
We’re also loving the Aztec print jacket beneath for a splash of holiday color.
Blake Lively has been seen out and about wearing a lot of ethnic textures like this since winter set in, though this one looks a little chilly on the pins!
We just adore this on-trend and super cosy look from Alexa. Just add cuddly Teddy Bear shearling coat, sixties-style black mini dress and a pair of tortoiseshell sunnies. That Peter Pan collar was practically made for this girl, and the coat is both fun and very practical when the temperature dips.
… And here’s our girl again rocking some festive sequins with her chunky winter knit. Hey – she must have been reading our Festive Party Attire post last week!
Sarah Jessica Parker
Bundled up in a cute chunky knit beanie and oversize sunnies, SJP just never gets it wrong. We’re loving her dramatic faux fur coat and laid-back boyfriend jean look. Pure boho chic, and super comfy looking too. Could be a little drafty around the ankles, though!
The British model keeps the chills at bay with this striking leather detail parka with that BIG faux fur trim everyone’s been rocking since the temperature dropped out. Sunglasses add a little glam to this off-duty look.
Effortlessly chic to a fault, Taylor Swift faces the cold in a simple knit beanie and oversize woollen trench. She keeps the look feminine with tights and black leather ankle boots, plus her trademark Hermes handbag to match.
And proof that the Swift has a formula for cold-weather dressing, here she is again rocking the beanie, woollen coat look. This time with preppy brogues, Peter Pan collar and snug corduroy pants. Love!
