Detroit is cool. There, I said it. I know what you’re thinking — I must be crazy. It’s true, though. There are SO many things to do downtown that you’d never know about without giving it a fair chance. Detroit is this hidden gem where everyone is scared to hang out when in reality it’s full of so much life, vibrancy, and fun! Today I wanted to share some of my favorite things to do downtown.
Belle Isle is a gigantic park with tons of exploring to do. Every time I go there, I find something new that I hadn’t seen before. When we went there on Sunday we discovered this awesome lighthouse that neither of us knew existed.
The Belt Alley is an alley that has been completely transformed. It now has twinkly lights hanging from end to end, some great bars, and tons of artwork. The pieces from artists near and far are all so uniquely different, yet tie together so perfectly. The Belt is one of my absolute favorite places to hang out downtown. It just makes me so happy to see all the art and discover something new each time I walk through.
Head on over to my full post to see the other fun things there are to do in Detroit! Thanks so much for having me!
