Spring Florals

We here at Sloanie HQ know that wearing floral patterns for spring is not exactly groundbreaking, but sporting floral pops and patterns for spring is a necessary seasonal tradition.  Although, we are still head-over-heels in love with our new Banana Leaf printed items–we still think flowers make a darling statement this time of the year.

It is fun to mix up the pastel colors, stripes, and nautical prints with a few feminine floral tops, dress, and/or slacks–don’t you think? We think so too and that is why we have composed a spring-flower-power list with a little Sloanie twist.

  • Pretty as a peony. Wearing black is still acceptable in the springtime as long as you have a punchy flower print to back-it-up like these black and peony printed bloomers from French Connection.
  • Totes Y’all. Anyway you tote your stuff you’ll need to do so in style. We Sloanies are way ahead of the floral game with our vintage floral tote bag.
  • Cool your culotte. Culottes aren’t that difficult to pull off during the springtime–especially when they are done in a bold green, white, and black flower pattern like the ones here from JC Penny’s.
  • Belt the trend. If you still insist on wearing jeans {even in the springtime} we have a sprucing suggestion. Accessorize your denim with our Ditzy Floral belt.
  • Flower sleeves. If you’re not 100% sure you can pull off a complete floral frock we are loving this DVF flower print sleeve top.
  • Keychains. Accessorizing your accessories for spring couldn’t be easier with our Kate’s Garden lanyard.
  • One tunic. Tunics are a great way to welcome the warmer weather and this fun flower print Joe Fresh tunic is just the way to say, ‘Hello Spring.”
  • Flower print. Nothing makes a bold flower power statement like the flowers painted by Lilly Pulitzer.
  • Hawaiian Floral. Tropical flowers still count and we heart this All For Color tropical print dress.
  • Top handle. Carry your daily needs in our vintage flower top handle Sloanie bag.

The great thing about wearing floral prints is that you can take this seasonal look in many directions. For one, you can dress a tad more demure like an English Rose in this shirt dress from Anne Taylor Loft. Or you could certainly go darker and edgier by dressing in a richer graphic flower print like these bold floral separates from Balenciaga.

And who says that wearing floral prints has to only remain on your body? Flower printed shoes are the bee’s knees when it comes to springtime. Keds and TOMs make a variety of flower power kicks. Our personal favorite is the Keds Champion Liberty Floral, but that is just us.

Go ahead and embrace the floral trend once again. No, you’re not getting lazy when it comes to revamping your spring style, but keeping the beauty of spring alive. Remember, wearing floral prints for spring is a tradition and you can’t go against tradition.
