Happy Birthday, Kate

In honor of Kate, Duchess of Cambridge’s 33rd birthday this Friday (9th January), we thought we’d bring you five things Kate-related that we’re just too excited for in 2015. It’s another big year for Kate after the big Royal Tour of Australia and New Zealand last summer and the arrival of Prince George the year before. So what’s in store for our favorite Royal in 2015?

The Baby

Yep, the newest Baby Cambridge has got to top our list of Royal things to look forward to in 2015! Due sometime in April, speculation is rife as to whether Wills and Kate’s second child will be another boy or a little sister for Prince George, and what they might call the little prince or princess. Our money’s on a girl this time, middle names Elizabeth and Diana. Watch this space and place your bets, ladies and gentlemen…

The Bump

We watched in awe as the cute Royal bump grew first time around, and she’s just starting to show again with bub number two as she approaches her final trimester. With two back-to-back Royal engagements booked for January, Kate is opening an art room at a nursery school in London on Thursday 15 January, then the next day she will ‘celebrate the dedicated work of foster carers’ at an event hosted by The Fostering Network. We’ll be poised for pics and promise to report back!

The Christening

Prince George was Baptised at around three months old in October 2013, so we can expect a similar rule to be applied for new baby Cambridge, so get your hats dusted off for July or August, Sloanies! But will Kate wear McQueen again? We think so!

Royal Appearances

Kate is expected to take around 9 months off Royal duties after the arrival of their second child, bringing the brood up at Anmer Hall in Norfolk where the family recently moved, having been gifted the large estate by the Queen. We think it’s just lovely that the family have a place to live away for London and the public eye, though this does mean fewer peeks at the Royal baby than we had with Prince George who enjoyed many walks in Kensington Palace Gardens and Hyde Park in his infancy. Sob!

Baby’s First Photo Shoot

Kate, Wills and George had their first official photo shoot together (excluding Middleton family snaps and the Christening photos) when baby G was around eight months old, so we may be treated to a festive collection of pictures of the Cambridges towards the end of this year. We love it that the family dog, a gorgeous working cocker spaniel called Lupo, made it into the family portrait first time around. Fingers crossed he’ll make the cut this time too!
