Hello! I’m Emily from Style Cubby and I’m so excited to share some of my most used tips for traveling! Traveling is one of my favorite things to do, whether a quick overnight an hour away or a trip across the world, I am always down. Over the years I’ve been able to travel quite a bit and feel so lucky to have seen some pretty awesome places. I just returned with my husband and his family from a trip to Europe where we visited Portugal, Switzerland, and Paris! It was amazing. From all my travels I have become very good at packing, especially my carry on. Today I’m going to share with you what I take with me on the plane!

First things first, I always prefer a backpack rather than a tote. It leaves your hands free for your ticket, a coffee, or the newest gossip magazine. I quickly fell in love with the print of this backpack and how easy it was to get in and out of it. To keep things organized, I also like to have a wallet and a cosmetic bag in the carry-on. This way I can easily find what I need, whether it be my ID or hand lotion. Bonus points if your wallet and cosmetic bag match your backpack! Totally ups the cute points, plus the fun print makes them easy to spot in your bag.

As far as electronics go, I always bring my Kindle with a few books downloaded. You never know what the wifi is going to be like where you’re going so making sure you have some network free entertainment is a must! For the times I know I’ll have wifi, I also make sure to bring my computer. When I take pictures on my trips, uploading them on the computer is the perfect way to make sure you always have room on your SD card.

Some items I never forget are headphones for watching movies on the plane, a koozie for my plane soda or water bottle (I hate when my tray gets condensation on it), and a sweater since planes are always cold. Besides that, I make sure to have my phone charger and sunglasses handy for once I land so I’m not going through my suitcase to get my necessities.

What are your favorite things to pack in a carry-on? I would love to hear!
