Decorating a home is no easy task and with so much inspiration around us it’s hard to sift through what home decorating styles we like and don’t like. We admire designers who have really honed in on their style and proudly showcase it to the world. We’re in full on home decorating mode here at Sloanie HQ with some of us recently moving into new homes or looking for new flats to call our own. We’ve been sending ideas back and forth to each other, browsing flea markets on the weekends, and pinning like crazy all the things that inspire us. Along the way we followed a few interior design blogs that we absolutely love and we think you will too!
Amber Interiors: Prepare to be wowed. Amber’s style is clean and modern with just the right touch of boho. A quick look at her before and after shots will have you wanting to paint all your walls white and decorate with mid-century modern furniture and kilims.
Hunted Interior: We first found Kristen on Pinterest when she DIY’ed these dalmatian print curtains. Since then we’ve watched her style evolve and love to keep up with her latest projects and styling tips on her blog.
Pure Stye Home by Lauren Liess: One look at Lauren’s portfolio had us sold on this Virginia-based designer. Her no-fuss approach to decorating is refreshing and makes all her designs give off a feeling of easy, comfortable living. Her book Habitat: The Field Guide to Decoration launched late last year and is filled with tips on decorating and gorgeous photos of enviable spaces.
Style by Emily Henderson: Need a designer crush? We’ve got it. Enter Emily Henderson. The one time HGTV Design Star winner now owns a thriving design studio out in LA while being a mom to two kids under three. Super woman. She has a thing for brass and the color navy so we’re very much on board with that. We haven’t met an Emily Henderson room we didn’t like and we love her cheeky blog too.
Lark & Linen: Ever dream of soft and airy interiors? That’s what Lark & Linen is all about. Everything Jacquelyn Clark designs has this light dreamy feeling. Soft colors, tons of neutrals and modern furniture. Looking at her portfolio gives you a sense of ease and relaxation.
