Now that the stress of the holiday season has subsided, we think it’s high time we take a tropical vacation. We tagged along with Mary of Pleats & Prosecco on her trip to the US and Britsh Virgin Islands and it has us wanting to book that tropical vacay immediately. Read on to take a look at all of Mary’s adventures – and see what Sloane Ranger Bag she toted around – and let us know where you plan to go for a little fun in the sun this year!
For the holidays I got the opportunity to travel with my family and boyfriend to the US and British Virgin Islands. We stayed in St. Thomas, a beautiful island with outstanding beaches, restaurants, shopping, and more! For the trip, I packed my favorite Sloane Ranger handbag, the Banana Leaf Top Handle. There is no bag that is more perfect for an Island trip than this one! The banana leaf pattern blends in beautifully with the tropical foliage and was the perfect size to pack all of my necessities for the day including my sunglasses, sunscreen, makeup, wallet, and a hair brush. When we arrived at the Ritz Carlton and unpacked, I could not wait for the adventures ahead with my new favorite bag!
Day one in paradise was spent exploring the hotel with my boyfriend, Victor, and relaxing by the pool and jacuzzi. I packed my sunnies, a maxi dress for dinner, sunscreen, some earrings, my camera, and some makeup to touch up with ease in the top handle bag! After a walk on the beach, we found plenty of pretty seashells and corals which we toted home in this handy purse. It seems I can fit anything and everything I need in this bag! Aside from the impressive functionality and durability of this purse, it is so easy to pair with almost any outfit. From simple and casual to dressy and elegant, this purse looks amazing and compliments any look.
For the second day of the trip, Victor and I woke up to have a couples massage at the Ritz Carlton Seaside Spa. It was the perfect start to the day and so relaxing. The stress from fall final exams was gone in a hurry. I brought my bag with me with everything I needed for the day to prepare for another beach day after our massage. We headed down to the beach and checked out the water sports which included paddle boarding, snorkeling, and windsurfing. We paddle boarded until it was time for lunch and then snacked on some french fries and cool island drinks for lunch! I pulled out my favorite cover up from my Sloanie bag and got ready to do a little shopping!
Check out the pictures to see how this purse looks amazing even with a unique pattern like this Maxi dress. It is not often that you find a beautifully patterned purse that can so easily be matched with just about anything!
Day 3 was an exciting one! Believe it or not, I woke up to the sound of roosters, “cock-a-doodle-doo!” It was a bright and early morning at 8:00 am to catch a chartered boat to some of the other US Virgin Islands. I packed my bag full with everything to get me through this day out on the water, including a few changes of clothes, a hat, and sunglasses. We explored St John, Happy Island, Water Island, and several others. We also got to go snorkeling and saw sea turtles, an octopus and many colorful fish.
Look at how great the bag looks against the green foliage and a white swimsuit!
On the fourth day, we had a much needed lazy day spent watching Shark Tank, catching some sun on the beach, and relaxing in the jacuzzi. In the evening we dressed up to go to Caneel Bay in St. John for dinner at an old sugar mill. I wore this maxi dress with a tropical print that perfectly complimented my Sloane Ranger bag. While there we got to watch the sunset over the ocean and said hi to some wild donkeys! It was an eventful day in paradise.
If you have a beach vacation coming up and need the perfect bag, look no further! Enjoy your week and make sure to check out my other posts on my blog Pleats and Prosecco!
