Monday Moods – Early Fall Favorites

With the cool air arriving and the leaves changing left, right, and center we thought we would share our wardrobe favorites for early fall dressing.

Cable knit Fisherman Sweater.  We love the effortless chic look of the classic fisherman sweater – and lucky for us cable is seemingly having a fashion moment with options available from multiple retailers in varying price points.   We adore the ‘Cambridge Cable’ option Jcrew is offering this season.

Military Vest.  Vests are everywhere this season – from puffer, to fur to military inspired – there are so many ways to change up your look with the addition of a statement vest.  The Army green option above looks perfect with jeans and tee, but we also think it would be adorable worn over a loose black dress and booties.

Navy Skirt.  While we love black for cool weather dressing, we also think that Navy should get to stick around when it comes to your Fall wardrobe (#navyornothing).  Skirts are versatile because they can be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion.  We also love how the fluted silhouette of the one above is flattering on so many different figures.

Leather Booties.  The booties are the ultimate workhorse when it comes to a transitional wardrobe.  Too cold for ballerina flats but too warm for your riding boots?  Enter the bootie.  We especially love them paired with fluted skirts, leggings, and skinny denim.  Booties are available from so many different retailers but we are especially smitten with the scallop details on the Loeffler Randall ones above.

Kings Road Tote Bag. We are officially obsessed with our new handbag for Fall – The Kings Road Tote.  The statement batwing style paired with our classic canvas is a look that is sure to get you noticed (in the best way of course).  We also love how spacious it is – perfect size to carry around your daily essentials – holds your wallet, smartphone, small cosmetic bag, and e-reader.  We love the stripes, but if those aren’t your thing it’s also available in our anchor, and english arrow prints.
