Hearts were all aflutter at Sloanie HQ earlier this week when we caught sight of the first pictures of Princess Charlotte since those from her Christening back in July. With that lovely sweep of chestnut brown hair and those sparkly blue eyes, she’s a gorgeous mix of both her parents – plus, she has the adorable cheeks of her big brother, Prince George. What a beautiful combination!
William and Kate released the photos of their six-month-old last week as a thank you to everyone who has shown interest in and support of Princess Charlotte since she was born on May 2nd. The photographs were taken at their family home, Anmer Hall in Suffolk. The Cambridges will be based here for the foreseeable future, as William works nearby as a helicopter pilot for the East Anglia Air Ambulance. We’re loving the plaid-covered, vintage-style armchair Charlotte is sitting so prettily on: a little insight into her parents’ excellent eye for interiors.
Captured on camera by her talented mom, the little princess is wrapped in a pink cashmere cardigan from The Little White Company, and wears a Liberty-style print smocked dress – thought to be a bespoke piece from Spanish babywear designer Irulea. We love that cute little ruffle collar: it’s a little bit old-fashioned, in keeping with some of the traditional styles we’ve seen Prince George rocking in his two and a half years as a mini Sloanie icon.
So clearly little Charlotte is already setting trends and forging new fashion loyalties, by wearing a mixture of great British brands and one-off pieces from chic little boutiques. Sound like anyone you know..? Her soft pink tights are from Chelsea boutique Amaia Kids, one of Kate’s go-to stores for Prince George’s outfits. And that little puppy toy she’s squealing at with such delight? That’s a Fuddlewuddle Puppy, from hugely popular British soft toy brand Jellycat. And yes, of course, he’s sold out online…
Got a little princess to treat this Christmas? The Fuddlewuddle Patch Puppy is still in stock. He’s not the exact same pup that little Charlotte seems inseparable from in the photographs, but he’s from the same range.
Better news yet is that the very same Little White Company cashmere cardigan Charlotte wears in the photographs is also still in stock online. The perfect spoily treat for any little cousin, niece or goddaughter. Oh, if only they made this in grown-up sizes!
…Or what about this divine cable-knit cashmere set? Totes adorbs. We can definitely imagine Princess Charlotte sporting this lovely, cozy combo. These dinky winter warmers look both luxurious and totally comfortable, following in the fashionable footsteps of her effortlessly stylish mother.
Stay tuned for more Royal updates this month, Sloanies!
