Cobalt and teal on Tuula Vintage
Spring is just around the corner. I’m excited, mostly because it’s time to change up my wardrobe. Spring might just be my favorite season because the weather is usually mild with nice breezes. I love wearing light colors, fun skirts, and shorts when it really starts to warm up. When shopping for spring clothes, I try to look for these 4 things: color, blazers, skirts, and leather.
//Bring your colored items out//
During the winter, I usually rotate with navy, black, camel, and oxblood. Spring is where I wear more color. This season, I am especially loving light pink and baby blue. They are feminine colors but can easily be edged up with some accessories, or maybe with some leather. Also, keep an eye out for the color of the year, Radiant Orchid! It goes great with white, navy, and pale pink.
Pink Blazer on Gal Meets Glam

It still might be a little chilly, but not polar vortex cold! Swap out those bulky coats for lighter blazers. the great thing about blazers is that they come in so many colors, styles, and they easily complete an outfit. I have my navy blazer that I wear 24/7, so this spring I’m thinking of expanding my blazer collection with white or possibly the light pink one worn above by Julia of Gal Meets Glam. My favorite place to buy blazers is Zara. This pastel blue blazer is perfect for spring.
//skirts instead of jeans//
During the winter I wear jeans, jeans, and more jeans. It’s an easy pairing with sweaters and boots…and viola, a simple winter outfit. When the temperatures start to warm up, switch it up with some skirts. I love skirts. They make the outfit a little dressier and let your winter legs breathe a little!
Since spring is the season of pastels, florals, and all things girly, why not edge up your style with some leather? I recently bought these leather paneled pants, and I’ve already found so many new ways to style them. You don’t have to buy all leather pants, there are so many pieces with leather accents. Leather clothing isn’t a trend, it will be around for a long time, so don’t feel bad splurging on classic leather pieces.
