All but one of these gals has graced the pages of the Modern Prep Gazette already in the past months and years, and rightly so. Our ones to watch in 2015 are all bold, fearless and inspirational trendsetters who have all taught us a thing or two about celebrating our individuality. Let’s take a look at some of their signature styles as we move into the new year.
Bold enough to shun Spotify and break records for female recording artists left, right and centre, this 25 year old has the world at her (well heeled) feet right now – and an awesome sense of street style.
Never short of polished perfection, the Swift’s signature street style is retro-preppy yet utterly distinctive. Dressing instinctively for her shape in high-waisted silhouettes and skinny slacks that graze the ankles, Taylor loves her prints and is never without her trusty handbag or a slick of red lippy. LOVE.
She’s never off our radar here at Sloanie HQ, and we don’t know which we love more: the Duchess of Cambridge’s ‘Royal duties and red-carpet’ style or her dressed-down chic. Whatever the occasion, though, Kate knows herself and what makes her look and feel good. Go girl!
Always partial to a bit of navy blue and a stacked wedge heel, Kate’s casual looks are all about baseball caps and Breton stripes, skinny J Brand jeans, sharp tailored blazers and feminine blouses.
Style icon Olivia epitomises Upper East Side chic with her tailored look that’s also utterly distinctive thanks to her love of playful color pops and mixing up textures.
Never shy of a stiletto heel and rarely spotted in New York without her beloved pooch Mr Butler, Olivia knows how to rock chunky ethnic accessories as well as she does an A-line skirt or oversize poncho. This girl has her personal style dialled, and has the fashion world clamouring for her magic formula.
Perhaps best known as Serena van der Woodsen from Gossip Girl, Blake’s street style has recently become even more iconic than that of the character she played. Blake’s a big advocate of the layered look, mixing practicality with fashion forward accents – boots, big hair and bags – to create a personal style that’s a little ethnic and homespun yet full of Hollywood glamor too.
She’s one of our fave British style icons and she’s sure to make even more waves in 2015 both on and off the catwalk – just watch this space. Will 2015 be the year Suki becomes Mrs Bradley Cooper, we wonder…?
Pictured here at the airport with BFF Cara Delevingne, Suki’s off-duty look is all laid-back boho and full of British eccentrica to boot. Think Parisian-style berets, chunky beanies, 70’s inspired eyewear and animal print faux fur coats. We’re just loving her confidence.
One of the youngest in the formidable Kardashian clan, 2014 was Kendall’s debut year as she launched her modelling career and joined the Delevingne-Waterhouse jet set at London Fashion Week.
Kendall’s street look is all edgy leather, denim and monochrome, and her red carpet style changes the record in a totally refreshing way. Loving these high-waisted palazzo pants in a flattering blush color. Expect this star to continue to rise in 2015.
A newcomer on the MPG radar, British actress Imogen Poots has us all sitting up and taking notes with a look that’s a little rock chick, a little glam and a little retro all in one. Here she is at London Fashion Week rocking a casual vibe – all tousled blonde locks and English Rose complexion. One to watch, Sloanies…
