Last week we gave you the lowdown on where to book your summer vacation, the week before we updated you on the hottest summer hair trends for 2014, and this week it’s all about what to pack in your tote to keep you looking good and feeling great on the beach or down by the pool. Grab your Sloane Ranger Classic Tote and don’t forget plenty of water and sunscreen. Sunburn isn’t classy or clever now, Sloanies…
Whether you’re a Kindle girl or if you like to catch up with the daily news on your tablet, your summer vacation is a time for resting the mind as well as the body. We love nothing more than escaping into a great novel when we hit the beach (see some of our tips for what to download here) but the seaside can be a tricky place for technology. Our Anchor Tablet Clutch is the ideal solution to taking your iPad or Kindle out and about on vacation, whether you’ve got a new book to get through or simply want to read your favorite magazine digitally. The clutch fits most tablet models, can be used as a regular clutch if preferred, and is extra padded for safety. And that nautical print? Too cute, even if we do say so ourselves. We also do tech cloths and iPhone cases in the same print as well as in several other designs.
Functioning as a beach towel, picnic blanket and a very pretty sarong for covering up when the sun gets too much, we adore these 100% cotton kikoys from Koko Kenya, who donate a portion of all their profits to a Kenyan education trust. The reverse side of these kikoys are lined in soft terry cloth that’s perfect for drying off with after a dip in the sea or a few lengths in the pool. We’re loving those vibrant African shades, delicate fringing and on-trend color blocking. Pack one in your suitcase before you jet off, and make sure it’s in your beach tote every day.
Ray Ban Sunnies
Ray Bans (and Wayfarers especially) are here to stay if the British fash pack are anything to go by. Models Suki Waterhouse (Aviator) and Lady Mary Charteris (Wayfarer) are rarely seen without theirs when the sun comes out to play, Emma Watson has Ray Bans in every conceivable colour it seems, and Poppy Delevingne’s wild wedding reception in Marrakech last month was Ray Ban-tastic if Instagram evidence is anything to go by. Rihanna loves rocking hers after dark and Kate Moss is a stalwart Ray Ban wearer who favours the classic Wayfarer. You’ll want a pair of these bad boys for Glastonbury Festival later this month too… just in case the sun comes out.
